1. Personalized Consultation Our expert travel advisors begin with a complimentary consultation to understand your interests, preferences, and target investment. From there, we craft a fully customized itinerary proposal tailored exclusively to you. To initiate this bespoke planning process, we request a ¥30,000 fee. Should you choose to book, this amount will be credited toward your Initial Deposit. 2. Initial Deposit A $500 nonrefundable deposit per guest secures your booking. For last-minute or complex trips, a higher fee may apply. This amount will be deducted from your final tour cost. 3. Itinerary Outline We’ll provide a tour itinerary with destinations, accommodations, logistics, and an estimated budget for your review and feedback. 4. Trip Confirmation Your trip is confirmed upon receiving a payment of a 35-65% deposit towards your final tour cost. We will begin booking your accommodation. 5. Final Itinerary & Special Options We will finalize daily activities and present exclusive options for unique, luxury experiences. 6. Final Payment The remaining balance is due 90 days before departure—then simply relax and get ready to enjoy Japan!

Deadlines & Itinerary Changes Please communicate any major changes to your itinerary at least 45 days before your tour to allow us to best accommodate your requests. Reservations & Bookings Untold Japan can assist with booking activities and restaurants, though availability varies. Note that larger groups may require earlier reservations, and some bookings may incur cancellation fees. Transportation & Admission Costs Intercity transport and other pre-bookable transportation are organized by Untold Japan and included in your invoice. Additional local transportation (e.g., taxis) and admission fees to non-pre-bookable sites are payable by the client on the tour day. Dietary Restrictions & Requirements There is little awareness of alternative diets such as vegetarian- and veganism in Japan and food allergies prevalent in other parts of the world are far less frequent. Most restaurants are therefore not used to modifying dishes and some will downright refuse to. Bear in mind there is little English spoken and tread carefully if you have severe allergies.

Visa Requirements Most Western and many Asian travelers do not need a visa to enter Japan, receiving a 90-day visa upon arrival. Please check your specific entry requirements. ​​Immigration & Customs Registration (Optional) You are advised to pre-register your arrival and pre-clear customs via the Visit Japan Web portal, which can be done on a PC or mobile phone. (https://vjw-lp.digital.go.jp/en/). This will make your journey through the airport smoother. Travel Insurance All guests must obtain comprehensive travel insurance for themselves and dependents prior to arriving in Japan. Currency & Cash Japan remains a cash-focused society. We recommend bringing cash or withdrawing yen from airport ATMs. Convenience store ATMs also accept most international cards. Luggage Please let us know in advance if you’ll be traveling with large or oversized luggage. Any luggage with a combined height, width, and depth of 161 cm to 250 cm is considered oversized and requires prior notification and reservation before being allowed on the bullet train.

Airport Meet-and-Greet Your driver will meet you at the arrival terminal at either Tokyo Haneda or Narita airport, escorting you to your hotel for a seamless arrival.
